Owner’s Manual for Hilti PR 30-HVS and PRA 30. This machine will produce the following lasers. Horizontal self leveling laser. Sloped self leveling, auto aligning laser- (up to +15% or -8.6%) auto aligned to the grade rod and laser eye placed at 2 different elevations to align. Vertical self-leveling, auto aligning laser. You set the laser close to the left right alignment, then set the laser eye at the other end you want to align to and hit the auto align button on the remote and the machine will adjust to where the laser eye is placed. If the laser is in horizontal or sloped mode and is ever bumped or moved by the wind, the machine pauses, turns the laser beam off, and re-aligns. If it bumped really far that it is out of the slope range for realigning, it will turn off the laser beam and flash an error indicator so you never accidentally rely on a misaligned laser. The laser eye receiver can control the rotary laser machine and also tells you on an LCD screen on the front and back how many inches or mm to go up or down or it makes one type of beep to tell you to go up and another beep to tell you to go down. I have owned Leica, Topcon, Bosch, and several other lasers and this Hilti Laser, by far, has the most features and is very rugged. This laser has all the same features as the Hilti PR30-HVS A-12. The only difference is the A12 has a different battery and the top is shaped differently. The laser and all accessories are fully functional. Any Cosmetic flaws are noted below. Rotating laser- The rotating laser has some minor scuffs and marks consistent with light use. Minor scuffs consistent with light use. Laser Eye- Scuffs and scratches and marks. Screen is in good to excellent condition. Laser eye body is consistent with normal medium use. The rubber on one of the corners has a crack through and is lifting (See picture). This does not affect functionality. Minor scuffs and marks consistent with medium use.
