Yuasa 550-004 5c Horizontal/Vertical Collet Indexer/Spin Fixture/Index/Rotary
For sale is a used Yuasa model 550-004 horizontal vertical 5C collet indexer. Item is used but in good working order. Everything functions are designed. This indexer has 24 positions, allowing indexing equally spaced at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24 positions. This is a well made Japanese piece of tooling. See description below and photos for details. These 5c style collet indexers feature easy Rapid Indexing of parts. Can be used either Horizontally or Vertically. Indexing Plate is divided into 24 divisions at 15 degree increments. Spindle is mfg with a taper seat in body frame. Rapid opening and closing is performed with a level collet closer. With a leverage ratio of 100 to 1. Convenient ratchet mounted on front of spindle provides rapid indexing. Index plate has 24 index locations. (15 degree increments) any of these may be masked off for greater variety in applications. Vintage Palmgren/Craftsman HORIZONTAL/VERTICAL ROTARY TABLE. Horizonal, Vertical Slides and Worm gear drive for 360 rotary all feed smoothly. Backlash on the controls are good in my opinion (I do have a mechanical background so I’m a “little” familiar with this type of rotary but not an expert). It has adjustable wear plates for the horizonal & vertical slides. It also has two locks for the rotating bed. I did find some numbers but they look like manufacturers parts match numbers for the two halves. Has normal wear for it’s age. (to the best of my ability). Please ask any questions or for more pics. Appears to be complete with front threaded nut present along with collet that was last used. We have many items from Yuasa listed and they all appear to have been used very sparingly.
